“Breaking the silence” is a book about him and a local school teacher, Dennis McGinley, a paedophile in Co. Donegal. On p. 133 appears a photograph of the Most Reverend Dr. Seamus Hegarty, former Bishop of Raphoe and at the time of writing, Bishop of Derry.In 2002 he told a BBC Spotlight documentary team that Fr. Eugene Greene was handled very professionally despite evidence of complaints dating back to the 1970s.
